The COOLPIX P4 is a high performance camera designed to help you take pictures in demanding situations. Advanced features such as 11 point wide-area Auto Focus and Aperture Priority mode combine with 8.1 megapixels of sharp resolution and a 3.5 optical Zoom-Nikkor lens to ensure visibly superior results. Its Optical Vibration Reduction system (VR), an innovation derived from Nikon’s combined experience in nano-technology and professional photography, alleviates the effects of camera shake caused by slight hand movements. This exciting new system ensures image stability when taking pictures or shooting movies.

8.1 megapixel resolution means outstanding images even after enlargement or cropping.

A 3.5x Zoom-Nikkor lens (35mm equivalent) lets you zoom out to capture expansive landscapes, zoom in for tight portraits, and focus on subjects as close as 4cm from your camera.

Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) delivers sharp results when camera shake could be a problem. With VR blurred images in the LCD monitor become clear, making it easier to compose pictures. The system even extends to the capturing of movies, with an Electronic VR function that ensures reliable image stability when shooting action.

11 point wide-area AutoFocus system ensures sharp results in more diverse compositions. Even more pixels have been added to each and every AF sensor, which provides excellent autofocus performance in low light.

Aperture Priority scene mode lets you choose your aperture so you can take control over depth of focus and the camera selects the best shutter speed for optimal exposure.

Continuous shooting at up to 1.8 frames per second. Perfect for photographing moving subjects with absolute clarity.

In-camera COOLPIX technologies Face-priority AF* automatically locates and focuses on people’s faces ensuring superb, crisply focused portraits. (*Face-recognition capability may be limited in some conditions.) D-Lighting rescues underexposed images by improving brightness and picture detail where needed, while leaving correctly exposed areas just as they are. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix analyzes each image and automatically finds and corrects any accidental red-eye, which can sometimes occur in flash photography.

16 scene modes (9 advanced) give you closer control over your final image. Simply choose from 3 different effects to produce the shot you find most appealing.
