HP PhotoSmart R707/R707v/R707xi Digital Camera Firmware 2.00.23.

This is a manual firmware update which requires an SD memory card to complete.

If you do not have an SD memory card, but have the HP Image Zone software installed and the camera is set to Digital Camera mode in the USB setup menu, you should instead download the Automatic HP Photosmart Firmware Update application for your HP PhotoSmart R707 digital camera (file col7429.exe) instead.

Before downloading this update, you should check the current firmware revision of your camera.

To check the firmware revision, hold down the flash button while turning on the camera.

If the firmware revision number is less than 2.00.23 (for example: 2.00.19, 2.00.14, or 2.00.11 or earlier), you should install this update.

Version 2.00.23 firmware includes the following fixes:

• Improves TV display quality in slide show mode.
• Fixes an issue with camera displaying "Bad data access address" error when transferring image to a PC/Mac.
• Fixes an issue with some files being corrupted when using SD cards.

Once the file has finished downloading, locate the compressed firmware file (COL6942.EXE) and double-click it.

This will extract the files needed for the firmware update into a c:col6942 folder.

Please carefully read the "readme.html" document in a sub-folder in that directory for the instructions on how to update your camera's firmware. There are folders specific to the 8 languages this update supports.

NOTE: The instructions in the readme.html file need to be followed precisely in order for your camera's firmware to be successfully updated.
