    This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst Software Suite for Windows XP. These include:

  • Crysis: Catalyst Control Center->Advanced View->3D: Setting the standard setting to Optimal Quality and having certain in-game settings no longer results in missing textures being noticed when playing the game under either Windows XP (32 bit version) or Windows Vista (64 bit version).
  • DIRT: Launching DIRT with CrossFire enabled no longer results in the application failing to launch and an error message being displayed 737-29554
  • Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts: The game no longer runs out of virtual memory and no longer fails to load on systems containing an ATI Radeon X1650 series of product and running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system.
  • Lost Planet: Setting AA to either 4x or 8x no longer results in the game failing to respond 737-28492
  • SecondLife: Corruption is no longer noticed when AA is enabled on a system containing an ATI Radeon HD 2600 series of product and running Windows XP.
  • Tiger Woods 2008: Corruption is no longer noticed when playing the game with Adaptive AA enabled.
  • World of Warcraft: Connecting an Apple 30" display device to a system containing an ATI Radeon HD 26x0 series of product and running Windows XP no longer results in poor performance and intermittent flashing display.
  • World of Warcraft: Playing the game in a windowed mode under Windows XP no longer results in the game failing to respond when attempting to go full screen. Further details can be found in topic number 737-32586The floppy drive no longer fails to read or write under Vista on a Dell XPS410 system.
  • World of Warcraft: Poor performance and flashing on screen are no longer noticed.
  • A warning message no longer fails to be displayed when reaching the maximum number of modes in the Predefined and Custom HDTV modes section of the Catalyst Control Center. This issue may also be experienced under the Windows Vista and XP Professional x64 Edition operating systems.
  • Underscan no longer fails when setting the display device to either 1080i 25Hz or 1080i 50Hz.
  • Running the Spanish version of the Windows operating system no longer results in the Catalyst Control Center option failing to be available when right-clicking the Windows desktop menu bar.
  • Setting the language option to French for the Catalyst Control Center no longer results in some translation errors being noticed through-out the Catalyst Control Center.
  • Setting the language option to German for the Catalyst Control Center no longer results in some translation errors being noticed through-out the Catalyst Control Center.
  • Setting the language option to Russian for the Catalyst Control Center no longer results in some text being cropped for the secondary display device in the display properties.
  • Rebooting the operating system after changing the skin to any available option other than system skin no longer results in the Catalyst Control Center menu options may no longer being visible 737-30569
  • The 3D aspect no longer appears blank when launching a second instance of the Catalyst Control Center 737-28482
  • Setting the language option to any supported language other than English no longer results in the Help file for Configure and Diagnostics failing to appear.
  • Enabling or disabling CrossFire no longer results in the HydraGrid settings failing to be retained. This issue may also have been experienced under the Windows XP and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating systems.
  • Connecting a CRT and TV and enabling either clone mode or extended desktop no longer results in Overlay Theater Mode failing on the secondary display device when attempting to change the TV format to D/PAL.
  • Selecting either Ultimate Dutch or Swedish under no longer results in an error message being displayed when select help within the Catalyst Control Center.
  • CrossFire no longer fails to be enabled when extended desktop mode is enabled and the displays are connected to the same adapter until the system is restarted.
  • Connecting an HDMI display and a DVI display no longer results in the maximum resolution of the HDMI display failing to be available in the Catalyst Control Center when running the Chinese version of Windows XP.
  • The Catalyst Control Center no longer fails to respond when modifying or assigning any hotkey in Hotkeys Manager.
  • Catalyst Control Center: Connecting a secondary display device and enabling extended desktop mode no longer results in the Catalyst Control Center failing to respond when disabling the primary display device and attempting to set the secondary display device as the primary.
  • Changing the language to Swedish no longer results in text cutoff occurring when rotating the display device.
  • Various text is no longer cropped in the Catalyst Control Center.
  • Avivo: The Advanced Color preview picture now changes when the Avivo settings are adjusted.
  • Connecting a secondary display device (DFP) no longer results in the DVI panel not being displayed in the Catalyst Control Center.
  • Connecting a CV/TV as a single display using either a smart dongle or dumb dongle no longer results in the CrossFireX option being available to activate it in the Catalyst Control Center.
  • The Avivo Video->Presets page no longer displays a blank screen when exiting from the screen saver when the Catalyst Control Center active.
  • Connecting a TV as the primary display device and making changes to any of the contrast, saturation, S-video sharpeness no longer results in the options taking affect even though the discard button is clicked.
  • Text is no longer cropped in the Catalyst Control Center->All Setting when setting the language to DE.
  • The Apply button no longer fails to become disabled when changing the display resolution on a system with extended desktop mode enabled and the secondary display device having a different color scheme.
  • Catalyst Control Center->Advance View->3D->All Settings->Anti Aliasing making changes to the default AA settings no longer results in the default values failing to be applied when clicking on the Defaults button.
  • A corrupt background is no longer noticed when in the OverDrive option of the Catalyst Control Center when changing the Catalyst Control Center skin to any available option other than system.
  • The tool tips now reference the correct video presets for the adjustment options.
  • Help for Anti-Aliasing aspect is now updated with Edge-detect filter details.
  • Help is now available for the Catalyst Control Center->CV-Scaling Option.
  • The enable/disable HydraGrid option in the system tray is now functioning as expected.
  • Connecting an HDMI display device to a system containing an ATI Radeon HD 3100/3200 series of product no longer results in the display failing to be detected as a DTV(HDMI) in the Catalyst Control Center.
  • Hot un-plugging a display device no longer results in display device still appearing in the Catalyst Control Center->Display Manager.
  • Hot-unplugging the primary display device (HDMI) no longer results in the secondary display device (DP) failing to display an image under the Windows XP operating system.
  • Adjusting the flicker removal in the TV properties of the Catalyst Control Center no longer results in corruption being noticed.
  • Corruption is no longer noticed during HD-BD playback and panning mode is enabled.
